Solving RPC Stub Errors
When trying to install or run the product, the following error message appears:
0x80070725 Incompatible Version of the RPC stub
This error is normally caused by a bad version of the file "oleaut32.dll", which usually resides in the system folder. To correct the problem, remove the old file and then install a good version of file again.
To correct the problem:
1) Download the DCOM file appropriate for your system, but do not run it.

Download DCOM95.EXE for Windows 95, version 1.3

Download DCOM98.EXE for Windows 98, version 1.3
http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom98/download.asp
2) Select Start, Shutdown
Select "Restart in MS-DOS mode"
3) When you get the command prompt "c:\WINDOWS", enter these commands, each on a separate linC:
CD c:\windows\system
rename oleaut32.dll oleaut32.ww1
exit
Windows will restart.
Expect this error messagC: "a required .DLL file, C:\windows\system\oleaut32.dll", was not found"
Log into Windows
4) Select Start, Run, and run the file you downloaded in step 1
Reboot your computer
This should correct the problem.
If, for any reason, this procedure causes your computer to not function properly, reverse the above action as follows:
Select Start, Shutdown
Select "Restart in MS-DOS mode"
When you get the command prompt "c:\WINDOWS", enter these commands, each on a separate linC:
CD c:\windows\system
rename oleaut32.ww1 oleaut32.dll
exit
Reboot your computer

- Microsoft Office 2000 or an Office 2000 Component Is Installed on Your Computer
If Office 2000 or or an Office 2000 component is installed on your computer, obtain and install the Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1). For information about how to do so, please visit the following Microsoft Web sitC:

- Microsoft Office 2000 or an Office 2000 Component Is Not Installed on Your Computer
If Office 2000 or or an Office 2000 component is not installed on your computer, obtain and install the Mcrepair.exe tool. To do so, please visit the following Microsoft Web site, save the Mcrepair.exe file to the desktop, and then run Mcrepair.exC:

Restart your computer after you install Mcrepair.exe.
